I just realized Lazada has charged my credit card, if cancel action is triggered, will it be difficult to get back full refund.

It's a pain in the a** to contact Singtel CSO both on chat and call. After both channels still can't be resolved.

refund is immediate until the cancel button is greyed out

u may need to wait a few days to reflect in your credit card

Since a lot of people on here doesn’t know this. I’m gonna give a brief summary on how to remove the demo mode so you can test out all functions of the device like fingerprint and face unlock.

  • Turn the pixel 8 off
  • Hold down power + volume down button
  • Keep holding until you reach fast boot menu
  • Use the volume buttons to go up and down the list and find “recovery”
  • Press start to pick
  • You know you are at the right place if you see a little android logo on its back
  • Press volume up and down until another menu pops up
  • Choose “factory reset” and press yes with the power button
  • Choose “reboot now”
  • The demo unit will now boot into the system as a normal retail unit and you can set it up like a new pixel 8
  • Now you can try every function you can think of in store before making your purchase decision.

Anyone want to try this? 😂

yes is something that stood out for me when I tried it first and went pixel peeping , until I went to dig around the display settings and saw can increase to high res :o

Waiting for your update. Tag me in your results pls. :o

Hmm...went and looked at the ones from courts nex.
I think the panel looked fine. Didn't notice any fringing issue. Does have a bit of soft feel to it and I think someone already set it to full resolution.
Maybe I will take a second look as I forgot to test it in dark mode...

Another thing I noticed is, seem like the P8 demo was locked to 60hz or something? Even turning on 120hz still felt like nothing has changed. Also, finally no more rainbow effect! It is also quite a lot more compact, makes me feel like getting one as well...

The P8P however seem to be locked to 120hz...turning off 120hz also feel like 120hz..o_O The touchscreen felt a bit wonky though, like when scrolling and you decide to suddenly change direction but felt like it is trying to resist you...

Will the UK version auto disable Wifi 7 and only give you Wifi 6 when you put in SG SIM / set to SG region?

I’m wondering if the hardware supports Wifi 7 but it’s just disabled via software because IMDA hasn’t approved Wifi 7 in Singapore.

Hardware itself supports WiFi 7 and you are absolutely right that WiFi 7 is disabled by SW.
