I believe the 8a will be the last A series. They probably need to have a much lower rrp like say 299usd, have an e series

Either the A-series be discontinued or it replaces the regular P8, making it a better deal. so for consumers who desire all the bells and whistles will opt for the pro version

i feel they are going down the iphone path- trying to charge premium for loyalists who like the stock android/camera experience. but tbh i rather spend my money on oneplus 12 or vivo x100 pro ( both CN sets). with those 4k/8k video captures (heavy user like myself) 512gb is the bare min or even 1tb if the price doesnt differ much.

apple, samsung, other brands also have your data-also, the minute you enroll/use social media accounts (including chat apps) your data is already at their mercy.

The store voucher still have to use their voucher to buy their stuffs and then sometimes have to top up and give them more money. The free case seems not as protective.

I rather just straight lower price or discount.

If you're considering an upgrade, let's say you currently have a P7a (or even a P6a) and you're thinking, "should i go for the P8a?" my suggestion would be to either switch to the standard P8 or await the P9

Folks at Android Authority were able to enable the system property "persist.vendor.usb.displayport.enabled" flag in these Tensor G3-powered phones, which is responsible for the display output support over USB-C. When this flag is set to 0, then the DisplayPort is disabled. This flag was set to 0 until the latest Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 release, where it has been changed to 1, enabling DisplayPort for all by default for the Pixel 8 series users enrolled in the Android beta program.

I got a feeling pixel 9 and 9 pro will be more ex than pixel 8 series. Else doesn’t make sense because pixel 8a and 8 are same price. Like that might as well buy pixel 8? Correct?

Yeah likely will have a bit of price hike. Can see from the pattern the prices creeping up

I think that is the strategy la. A bit like Apple. They added 1 iPad Air 13” then the iPad Pro 13” moved to a new price category. I think when pixel 8a cost as much as pixel 8, I think pixel 9 likely will cost US$150 more than pixel 8a
