Google rolling out first Pixel Buds A-Series firmware update to fix volume bug.

You can trigger an update without waiting for it to be done automatically.
  1. Place your earbuds securely into their open case.
  2. On a Pixel phone with Android 10+: Go to Settings
    and then
    Connected devices
    and then
    Pixel Bud's settings
    Settings
    .
On other Android devices: Open the Google Pixel Buds app
    Pixel Buds
    .
  3. Scroll down and select More settings
    and then
    Firmware update.
  4. Tap Update available.
  5. Follow the on screen instructions. This will take about 15 minutes.

(-ve demo)

Remember to keep your phone near your earbuds and inside the open case, else ... taking your earbuds out of the charging case while it’s being installed may pause the update.

However, if any part of the process is interrupted, don’t worry—it will resume at the next opportunity.

Updates will only be installed if your earbuds and charging case have sufficient charge. If they're running low on power, plug them in.

anybody use adaptive volume... it wasn't what i expected to be...
most of the time give me shock rather then trying to making the music sound louder..
example : waiting at traffic light a car zoom by my music will suddenly raise up like somene playing with the volume button... then slowly lower down again when quite..

rather annoying..

A bit sensitive as compared to pb2. hopefully next update will fix it.

@limmk so are these buds good or not ah? Will chiu recommend?
I'm into google ecosystem, but no bias here. i dont really use tws buds until the og buds from 2017. the buds are crisp and clear but not truely 'wireless'. but mai hiam buay pai. then last year pb 2020, still maintain the clarity with some useful pixel feature drop. but experience some cutoff even when phone was inside my pocket. foreward to current pdsa, maintaining the same pros from pb 2020 but minus the volume swipe (which i dearly miss, wireless charge not so much) and no cutoff exp so far

TL;DR

can buy

Actually compared to airpods the pixel buds no additional integration for pixel products like smart switch to other devices etc.

Thanks for the recommendation. (y)

2017 or 2020?

It depends. If you own the 2017 buds, upgrade to the 2020 if you want wireless charging and volume swipe.

Budget-wise, go for the a-series without losing audio quality from the same 12mm dynamic speakers.
