I used my S3 for 3+ years. And it is still working until now. Already in 4th year.

It all boils down to your luck even though you take care the phone. I have never dropped a phone before.

the only prob for me now is the depletion of the battery. i've dropped my phone a couple of times, good thing it has a good screen protector. hahaha

1 week of usage I think manage to solve battery drain issue by resetting phone a few times, but phone crashing still happens frequently. Anyone else facing same problem?

Nope. No issues at all. Try rebooting into safe mode to see if it's due to some rogue apps you have.

Battery life will degrade after a number of charging cycles. Good thing the old phones can replace the batteries.

All my past phones from S2, S3, 5X to Pixel now dont have screen protectors. I prefer naked screen but I can take care of the phones.

Surprisingly, the S2 and S3 screens are still crisp. Except for 5X which has some hairline scratches.

Yup I tried that previously when having both battery drain and crashing issues. Now battery usage is normal but crashing became very frequent. Sigh really thought it's a great phone if not for all these problems. The support page navigation also abit complicated. Some links keeps going in loops and brings you back to the same page

How are your LTE speeds in Singapore with the pixel/xl ? I'm getting about 60Mbps down and 10up indoors with Starhub. Is that normal?

I just did a LTE speed test in my office.

Using a Google Pixel, Rest of the World variant and on StarHub.
