Yeah even if they decide to bring to SG it'll cost easily 500-550 here. Pretty much in the realm of apple watch pricing. Just get from Amazon JP when they restock. Take advantage of the low yen.

I would presume most would oot for the latter..

WiFi is safer to get as there are some reports saying that LTE model is region locked.

No reason why it won't be launched in Spore. A little strange in that if Google can launch the Pixel 7 series here, why not with the the watch.
Anyway, it won't be cheap when it's launch here.
Now you can order from Amazon Japan for S$359, free delivery but guess you need to pay GST here.
Delivery is between 11/11 to mid Dec.
Price is super attractive, even cheaper than US stores.

Interestingly, listing is cheaper when viewed from Amazon SG compared to Amazon JP, albeit the long shipping time

I ordered and didn't get charged GST. So whatever the exchange rate amazon calculated it was just under 400 SGD

I didn't place the order as the delivery period is 11/11 to 22/12. I will be be Japan at the end of the month, afraid that delivery will be after I leave for Japan. Hence I will buy the watch when I am in Japan.
Google Japan is selling it at 39800 yen , about S$382. So I think this S$359 is vat free.
When I buy in Japan like from Big C, it should be duty free as well.

Yes, AMZN will charge only when it is shipped.
Now the time to ship is reduced to 4-6wks for the matte black model
