googoo is expensive. plus only 1 year warranty on parts.

when you DIY with fortran, the only 1 year warranty is probably casing, dvd writer, perhaps fans and heatsinks (i've never really noticed the warranty of all these o.o i realised. they hardly malfunction)

1-3 years for graphic cards, 3 years mobo, 3-5 years powersupply, lifetime ram.

fortran > googoo

Ok.. I really want Fortran also but what if my software/comp have problem.. I don't know how to replace the parts.. GooGoo said that he will come down and fix the thing if anything goes wrong.

The gd thing about engaging Fortran is u can probably pick up abit of skills while he's assembling your comp..And of cos he probably wont mind if u call him up with regards to any problem which you might encounter..

If all else fails, there's always hardware clinic..

yep. yah perhaps the problematic part is, if anything goes wrong you need to come here to ask abit. and perhaps sometimes the response is abit slow and stuff.

but the skills you learn will stay with you ^_^

His site still under construction.

Btw guys... really Fortran the most recommended? I really gonna go with him already just that I worried about what if in future I wanna change my parts or if PC have probs... (As in CANNOT START!) Then if that happens how to come hardware clinic :(

Fortran definitely the way to go. Just got my rig done by him a month back. Good pricing. You won't learn anything if the person comes down to fix for you. I have learnt a lot of stuff by trying to solve the problems myself, back when google haven't existed yet. Now with google, you can solve most of the prob, and of course with this forum also. If you want hassle free maintenance, get a mac and be prepared to pay a high premium for the parts they provide and probably not play many games too.

Bought a 4k+ gaming rig from them 2 mth ago. Initially there was a random bsod problem. Tech support is very helpful to help troubleshoot. They came down couple of time over nxt few weeks. End up it's the Corsair Force 3 SSD problem. They voluntary replace it with OCZ Vertex 3 after more then a mth from delivery (while i still wanted to test the Corsair longer).

System work perfectly fine since then. The price isn't expensive becoz you can't compare them with SLS DIY shop. The after sales svcs so far, for me is excellent. On the contrary, look somewhere else if you do not need any technical support and lowest price is your primary concern.
