so for yourself do you have espresso m/c ?
so you prefer filter/pour over compare to long black/americano ?

I am using the Strega and prefer espresso with a bit of milk generally but there are some beans I prefer as pour/filter with this. Lately, I am experimenting with different cold brew methods. The taste profile is different even using the same beans and grind size.

I'm currently trying non milky coffee if it's ok to me. for the milk do you still frothe since you say you're adding a little to the shot? any ratio?

Have you tried also, black coffee with milk ? since alot of volume, so adding more milk perhaps will be making 2 cups for 2 pax lol. thanks

My most favorite is cortado. I have a small milk pitcher to froth milk just for this. Afternoon drinks can add a bit of baileys or nutella at the sides. Lazy mornings just add cold milk and you're good to go.

For black coffee or pour-over, you can try adding creap milk powder. This one is available from Donki. It's richer than normal milk and yet, you are not diluting the coffee at the same time.

Still only to satisfy commercial use folks. I'm more excited with more and more boutique makers making single dose, zero retention grinders with large sized burr (80 - 98mm), hope more will jump to the home users bandwagon grinder to make it more affordable for us for a end-game grinder.

OK la, not all home users want zero retention/single does grinder.

I'm lazy to weight every time I need to make. I Prefer hopper.

lol, your upgrade would be those that grind by weight grinder :s13: poison poison.

Actually thinking back the earlier days of espresso making, I didnt even have a scale and it was purely 'feel'. First grinder was a Mazzer Mini doser somemore. Guestimate few scoop of beans and brew by visual. When the flow starts to whiten instead of the deep brown then stop the brew.

Detract a bit from main topic of machines..

Ha ha any burr size bigger than my current one is considered upgrade. Mine is 50mm. Slow but quiet. Ok lah, wait a few seconds more only.

What is your current ratio?

Try 38g espresso in a 240ml cup. Shiok.

cup sizes matter

For milk, personally I find Pura, Farmhouse, Greenfields and Meiji are ok to use.
I avoid Cowhead, Paul's, Marigold, and of course HL. All due to taste and/or are hard to get a good froth.
