I paid around SGD180 for very fresh sashimi for 4 pax that I probably could never get back in SG. The only regret I had was never eat more!

S$18 will also get you 4 sushi and sashimi platters at OK mart that beats 99% of Japanese places in SG

On average, most meals in JPN, even CBD area are around $10-$15 only. Full set with rice, miso soup and pickles. Pizzas are less than $20. In SG, will run you almost $30 after GST and service charge. I also eat one damn good grilled cod fish set, nicer than waygu, also less than $20. In SG, confirm more than $20++. One great thing about JPN, they always show the final price and pre-tax prices.

The quick meals in stations are around $5 only, also very nice. Full set with rice, miso soup and pickles, free water and towels.

The last time b4 covid time I had a whole crab was about 180k yen. Wonder now is how much.
I didn’t bother to check as we king crab in SG. Wanted to try snow crab. Paid and sat down and 15-20mins later came back to refund me. Saying no stock. So the satisfy me craving for crab I took this king crab leg instead.

Haha!! Smart placement and selling by the store

You better give it away or sell to xdd/xmm who want to use these as kitchen timers stuck to refrigerator or for studying :(
Already given away one. Still cannot understand why Bandai would do a timer yet using the Tamagochi name. Can’t see the link.

TS, great sharing of your exploits in Osaka and Kyoto. Want to ask where did you stay in both locations? Will be heading there in few months time. Not so keen on shopping, nightlife, will be there mainly for food, sightseeing some of those areas you mentioned and world expo. Seems you not keen to visit world expo
