Left on 8am bus from Nagano Metropolitan Hotel, reach Dentetsu Toyama station at about 4.30pm..

My departure time from Ogizawa was 10.30am..

Hmm, I guess I will go to Kanazawa directly instead of staying in Toyama for a night.

Next, need to decide whether to stay in Matsumoto or Nagano for the night before the Kurobe Alpine Route

Came to a realisation that if one decided to begin his/her trip from Matsumoto or Nagano, SQ offers the flexibility to redeem a biz class flight either for Nagoya or Haneda, which makes it easier to redeem a flight instead of waitlist.

Matsumoto > Happo-ike in Hakuba > Matsumoto

Matsumoto > Mt. Norikura in Northern Alps > Matsumoto

Matsumoto > Senjojiki Cirque in Central Alps > Matsumoto/Nagano

Matsumoto/Nagano > Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route > Kanazawa

My friend use to redeem to Nagoya since flights to HND is typically in hot demand..

Is there a direct bus from Matsumoto to Ogizawa? If your first 3 parts is more convenient to go from Matsumoto then it makes sense to stay there instead.

That's right..Quick stop at Omachi to drop off 2-3 folks and off we went to Ogizawa..For me, just go up and sit until reach so very convenient.

Yes + extra discount..Too bad they discontinued the kurobe option pass, use that back in 2019, was around 9.7k per adult including bus..Now bus is add-on and can be purchase along with the web reservation

If going like mid-nov then no need web reservation as route might be affected on the day itself so they reco travellers to check on the day..
