Stay in Tokyo, visit Uji for a day.
Never tried, the whole town is all about matcha.
Make your own bah...Can I crash your thread...
Yes, you can hike some but the main attraction there is matcha.I skipped Uji. From what I heard it's mostly matcha stuff?
I spent 3 days in Kyoto and cannot even finish half the attractions. Some need to touch and go.

Cheaper compared to what? In comparison to Singapore, I would say you can find "cheaper" options for things. Also because of the weak Yen, meals are about 10-15% cheaper compared to dining in Singapore.TS what do you think of the prices in Japan?
Before I went I heard people say Japan is cheaper...
But when I was there almost everything starts from 500 yen. Even a bloody meat bao was 500 yen.
10-15% cheaper than before I can agree.Cheaper compared to what? In comparison to Singapore, I would say you can find "cheaper" options for things. Also because of the weak Yen, meals are about 10-15% cheaper compared to dining in Singapore.
The thing is, you tend to spend more when you think things are cheaper.
Those are probably MalaysiansAnother sinkie in Japan. Didn't a few ts here complained about meeting sinkies in Japan?
If I have a meal that cost $6 in hawker center that is delicious10-15% cheaper than before I can agree.
10-15% cheaper than dining in SG I don't agree.
Anyway just want to have a feel if it is only me who is puzzled why so many people say Japan is "cheaper" than SG. Overall, it is not to me.
It just means matcha that's from Uji lor...it's been the place of green tea cultivation.why they call uji matcha
matcha come from there?
