true... thus always approach the cat from the front slowly and carefully...while stroking the cats, must be alert for sudden movements or cats will scratch at you back...
Black cat nearby only allow me to pet his head...
Black and yellow cat downstairs if happy will come to me for petting and she lie down...can pet her whole body...will wagged her tail... guess she is happy too...
can go towards her but need alert for scratching by her...so far none...accommodating with her... if she is sleeping and I went over but got objects blocking the way, she come down ones lol
Brown and white one cat downstairs also allowed stroking of whole body...wag her small tail too during petting...guess she happy too...but so far haven't petting her...wonder if she forget about me already... last time almost follow me back...![]()
Just an observation to add - I find that some cats don't scratch intentionally. Especially the younger cats. One came towards and lied down on on its back on my feet while I was squatting down. Then it reached out with its paws swiftly and towards my hand while still on its back. I noticed that the cat didn't extend its claws, but its action drew blood from my finger anyway because the innermost claw, which I think is non-retractable, caught me. I was pretty certain it was only trying to play.
