You are not wrong per se but if you look at what it actually means, you would realize that it is an "impossible" task as I mentioned. This is very subjective. I'm sure that they are plenty of women who would be ok with swensens or even happy with it. I would even dare say that most would be ok wwith it. On the same basis, even "high class" omasake may not be good for some, so omasake is considered "bad taste" just because got people dislike it? Ironically, I have heard from some that they like omasake for its exclusive environment but they find the portion too small, cannot eat full.

Anyway, given that those who complain usually complain about the place and not the food, it seems like they take issue with the environment and not the food itself.

As a guy, first date I also don’t want to go hawker Center la.

Firstly, is probably warm. I will perspire and also won’t give a good impression when I am hot and sweaty.

Secondly, it is probably noisy as well and if it is some popular hawker Center, people will be waiting for a space. So it’s not too conducive for chit chatting.

Well, unless the first date is a foodie and the intention is to meet and try out some new food or something. Then is a different ball game.
