I ran Heaven benchmark for 2 hours. This is what I got:
Max gpu temp: 78c without aircon
Max clock speed: 1950 mhz
Max power consumption: 314w

Should I custom watercool my entire system? Currently using nzxt x53 for the cpu 3900x. How much of a temperature difference will I see if I were to do so? Thinking of getting a bykski waterblock, ekwb cpu block, dual radiators and iceman reservoir/pump combo.

Nothing wrong with those temp numbers on the GPU lifespan, but of course if you want the lowest temps, custom WC is the way

Thanks to all bros and gurus here. Using afterburner, power limit was set to 100% and then a undervolt with 800mV and 1850mhz was set. Card crashed within first 3 minutes of Divison 2. Decided to try and uninstall afterburner, guess what? No more crashes. Not one at all. Games load at first try, played Divison 2 for 3 hours straight with no issues. Cyberpunk seems fine as well. What gpu tuner program do you guys recommend if i still want to undervolt the card?

Good that you got it working now.just a note that 800mv is too low for 1850mhz. Confirm will crash. You either have to increase the voltage or decrease the clocks.

I think the alternative to afterburner is the evga one.

i think u accidentally messed with the setting in afterburner without knowing. Been using afterburner for a long time already, if u keep it in default it shouldn't mess with your clocks and voltages.

Custom water cooling should reduce temps significantly. However it is a costly setup and it also requires you to maintain it at least on a yearly basis. So while there are significant benefits to temps, I personally don't find it necessary because I am not overclocking, and the temps looks fine to me.

Seems like a problem with Afterburner indeed since the problem can be replicated on another setup. Which version of AB are you running?

I backside itchy, keep self poisoning by watching yt vids. See how la, its very tempting though.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Not sure leh, i didn't touch any settings except the curve editor and power limit. Even if set to default also crashing with afterburner auto startup on windows start.

The latest, I think it's 4.6.2.
I'm not really looking to oc, just want cooler temps. But ya, i agree the temps are fine now and not hitting 83c (fans were set to intake). Tot of watercooling because optimum tech's vids keep making me gian. And the gpu block for ventus not too exp, about $110. And the whole setup can keep if upgrading, at most change cpu and gpu blocks when next gen. Maintenance got what, replacing the distilled water inside?
I thought don't need do much like our car coolant few years then flush and replace once?

Which is why I won't recommend going for custom cooling. The cooling solution currently is sufficient to keep the components in your PC cool enough. If you are not looking to overclock, they will be fine.

As I mentioned, the start up cost can be quite high unless you find the parts on Taobao and fix it yourself. The waterblock itself as you mentioned is 110, bearing in mind it does nothing other than over the front of the GPU and allowing you to connect your cooler to it. Also, you can't reuse it should you change your graphic card.

Hi all, I recently got a new GPU, but at stock settings it's causing the screen to go black during gaming sessions every now and then. When I undervolt it to 0.818V and capped the clock speed to around 1800mhz it seems a lot more stable. Now I'm running it at 0.781V and 1725mhz and the blackout is pretty much gone(hasn't encountered any).

Just wondering if it is the GPU faulty or is it just a case of not enough power? I know 650w is barely acceptable for a 3080w and was wondering if that could be the case.

Ah... I see you are using a Seasonic PSU too. Well, it is the cause of your blackouts. Not the GPU or lack of power draw.

I had a Seasonic Prime Titanium 850W and it too was causing issues.
In order to truly fix the issue, you need to get the newer *X model. So something like the Seasonic Prime TX.

I've explained it before but it basically has something to do with the PSU safety measure kicking in when it senses a sudden peak spikes and/or Over Power Protection. Some EVGA PSUs had this issue too. It is more of the GPU not meeting to spec when it comes to this peak power draws.

No matter, owners of the newer PSU models do not have this issue. Thus why I even upgraded to an Asus Thor which is based off of the newer Seasonic TX models too. No issue after that.

I no longer need to underclock and undervolt my GPU and can run it at stock without the blackouts and shut downs.

Well that's great for you that you solved the issue by getting new PSU, as I said in earlier post, my screen blacking out issue have been solved by uninstalling MSI Afterburner.

I'm running my RTX 3080 at stock settings now, still using the same seasonic 650w with no problems.
