I thought Grab pays merchant fee to the credit card for the card being charged? It's a separate issue from using SG PayNow QR code.

yes. is a MAS thing. that's why need to be strategic about what you use it for if you are already going to fully utilise it

topup limit is $5k in 24hr, no limit per year.

to clarify, once hit $30k, no further transactions allowed, regardless of whether it is mastercard transaction or direct grabpay (eg grab transport)??

like that i cannot take grab taxi or buy grabfood once spend past $30k?

You can take grab taxi or buy grab food and pay with cc what.

Up till the covid, When I am in KL, I just hail Grab rides and the points are credited according to Ringgit and whatever their earn rate. I used Grab app + Credit Card. I was not sure if the Grab wallet (SGD) can be used and even if can, not too keen to test out and find their rates.

because pre covid i only used cash when using grab and when covid hit i never stepped into msia thus the question.

yeah, so basically i just need to link my grabpay mastercard to the grabapp, then just pay thru credit card to earn points? or link to bank card better since grabpay mastercard is grabwallet balance?

In malaysia, GrabRewards Points will only be awarded for payments made with GrabPay Wallet.

i never blink an eye for the msia grab pts.

my purpose is never having to worry about carrying cash at msia, my last penang trip all 7 days of Grab rides are paid via tagged credit card.
