I just topped up $4100 using AMEX TCB and used it to pay AXS. I tried to top up another 1000 but failed. Is it due to the 5k holding limit? But I had already paid that 4100 that was topped up earlier.

Also I read there is a 30k annual limit for GrabPay. When is the annual limit reset (eg 31 Dec)? Is there anyway to increase this limit and any other alternative once this limit is pay for AXS payment?

Thanks
30k limit is fixed, regulated by MAS

Reset every year, so Jan 1

You can use Grab to pay for AXS? How do you do it?

spending + transfer out to bank.
A maximum of two transfers can be made per day to bank accounts or e-wallets, and each transaction is capped at $5,000. While transfers to your own bank account will not count towards the annual $30,000 GrabPay usage limit, transfers to other accounts or e-wallets will.

hmm .. i recently called Grab and CSO said 30k limit includes spending + transfer out to bank

she gave me my YTD usage, which I tally with my App history of "spend + transfer out"

guess will find out sometime this year

This is correct answer.

Transferring to your account counts for the 30k limit.

Transfers to your own Paynow account will not count towards the annual $30,000 GrabPay usage limit, transfers to bank accounts or e-wallets will.

The other day I received alert that I have reached 75% of the limit. Without counting transfer back to my own account(paynow or otherwise), there is no way I am close to 75%.

What the TnC says does not match practical result.

But they will not allow you to top up once you reached the limit right? As in there won't be a situation where you can't spend after you top up due to the limit getting hit

Why not?

You can continue to pay with Grabpay Wallet. just not with prepaid MasterCard.

That's dangerous. They should have a counter to track this. I won't want to top up using cc without having the option to use MC
