i previously used HSBC Advance and StandardChartered Unilimited cashback card to take public transport got 1.5% cashback,

Recently got signed up the AMEX and i used it to top up to Grab, if i use for transport, i can get 3% for 1st 6 months.... i thought this is the best way to get transport rebates now... am i right ?

Care to share why do u prefer VISA for Simply Go?

actually i have no idea what is Simply Go for, although i have registered for an account a few years back haha
SimplyGo is kind of the "organization" that lets you use the visa/MCs for bus trips. I prefer Visa because most of the time bus transactions post very fast so easy to track.

I am using DBS LiveFresh for 10% on transport, but ymmv and the card may/may not be suitable for you :)

This is why visa is better than mastercard for SimplyGo.

How would I be billed for transit payments using contactless bank card?

The transactions will be processed, accumulated and charged to your contactless bank cards with the merchant descriptor name “BUS/MRT”.

For Mastercard and NETS contactless bank cards, fare charges will be accumulated for up to 5 days or after a total of $15 is spent on transit fares, whichever is earlier.

For Visa contactless bank cards, fare charges will be accumulated daily.

The accumulated amount will be posted to your respective banks after 3 days. Postings will be reflected in your credit, debit or pre-paid card account based on the processing time of your Issuing Bank.

Gotta check simplygo periodically to make sure the transfer is counted. I had a bunch of times it wasn't and had to submit a claim to get the rebate.
If u go claim its a hassle with no compensation, and u still hv to followup,

But if u dun go claim they diam diam.... !

Somebody is eating the rewards of unsuspecting users... :cautious:

SimplyGo is very friendly to claim. I have claimed all my wrongly charged fares successfully(some due to my own mistakes, such as wrong card to exit, double cards, etc) some more than once because I put a wrong claim.

I did not apply any code. It simply disappeared overnight from the promos list. It was always auto added without my intervention.

I tried adding that but it says it’s not valid even though I have selected self pickup option for the food order. Weird..

There is usually a validity period for self pickup voucher. But they continued giving new ones after the previous one expired. This time my account don't have it anymore.

But my sister's account that did not use the self pickup vr previously still have -valid from 14 to 27 Jun.

I just checked. It still works for her account. So it is not that it is fully redeemed but they did not give new sets of self pickup voucher to us.

Wonder how grab managed to reset the limit for everyone towards the end of last year, such that total transactions for the year could exceed 30k.

no way lah

Hi both, am i right to understand there is a $10K monthly limit on GPMC? If yes, that could be the reason why i tried to pay lump sum (in multiple of $500) via eAXS and AXS flags an error. :( Thanks!
