A general error prompt after key in the pin:
Title: Transfer Unsuccessful
Msg body: We're sorry., there was an error. Please try again.
With a OK button.

I have retried many times but still hit the same error.
Hi ice_angel, have you solved the problem? I'm facing the same error.

same for any card... to be fair I didn't have any negative experiences with gpmc fraud. show police report to the merchant and they refunded. but Grab refused to reimburse 2% FX fees and gave me a form to file a chargeback lol. but it was just 40-50 cents so I didn't care

banks are still better at fraud detection in the first place, as I had a recent fraud case where they auto block suspicious txn. don't think Grab has this feature

both but doubt it was of any use to Grab

in my case the merchant was some large gaming credits company, found their email and sent them the fraudulent charges + police report - they should know better that chargebacks cost them arbitration fees, so they located the txn and refunded me instead of having to go through the entire process

there's no point telling Grab, they won't refund. some merchants know it's not worth it to fight the chargeback esp if you show them police report because of the fees involved (can be up to $100), so it's always better to look for the merchant if you can (esp if you can find their contact). if they refuse, then go ahead with chargeback through your card issuer lor

fintech are all rubbish la. pay peanuts get monkey. just take your one time discounts and fug off. with grab shares getting destroyed expect more cost cutting measures like reduced incentives and further outsourcing of customer support to low quality places

yah that's why... don't think gpmc's fraud detection is good, banks defo are better when it comes to blocking potentially uanuthorised transactions

Fintech is new while banks have been around for centuries. It will take time for Fintech to mature. Investing in Fintech now means taking some risks, just like buying a newly launch handphone and found there are still many bugs. Wait 6 months down the road and most of these bugs will be squashed already.

To prevent fraudulent transaction, I think I will keep the card locked via the app and only unlock when I need it for online purchase.

The only problem is with SimplyGo, because I use this card to pay for mrt fare. Hmmmm.....
