For what its worth and for those using GPMC using Samsung Pay (such as yours truly), will have to carry the physical card around 17 November onwards.

I guess there is a fee payable to Samsung Pay for each transaction, or overall for allowing Samsung Pay to hold GPMC, and Grab has decided to eliminate that expense. Serious cost-cutting underway.

Is their 20% points back promotion for CapitaStar still alive? Anyone managed to claim recently?

Is it worthwhile amd make any sense to apply physical grabpay card now that samsungpay is not supporting it from 17 Nov? I don't know if it will be easy to meet the $1000 minimum spend within 6 months.

GrabPay really going into the slumps.

All I can say is.. thank you Grab for the 3 years that you allowed me to farm points, enough to finally redeem something on my wishlist for nearly a year...

After the change in their rewards programme, it seems like if I don’t use GrabPay wallet for online and Grab services, it’s very difficult to earn enough points for the platinum tier?

Last time it was free. Do you pay taxes or insurance? Not sure if the 1k has exclusion but if taxes or insurance is covered then might be possible

Depends on individuals usage pattern. Some may be a serial grab user for transport it’s no issue for them.

but the qns is why the obsession over grab play when it isn’t materially better?

Anyone ever had issues with using Grab App "Tap & Pay" function? Today it failed me more than 5 times at FairPrice saying that I moved too quickly, even if I did not move my phone at all. GPay worked flawlessly thankfully because I did not bring my wallet out for a quick grocery run.

The Tap & Pay function didn't work occasionally when I used to use GPMC contactlessly a lot, quite annoying. I didn't find a solution to it.

anyone tried this method before? i.e. delaying completion of your challenge until the very last day or until left a hundred slots whichever happened earlier. Does it help to retain your tier at the lowest level and not get upgraded for next month's challenge?

doesn't work. As long as you complete the challenge successfully after a certain count it will upgrade u to the next level.
