Edit: Another movie i forgot to add is Jim Carrey's Man on the Moon. makes you laugh till you drop. ending is a little WTF though.

If you are refering to his demise at the end, this show is a biopic, real person real story so yeah he died of lung cancer.

If you are refering to the last scene at the bar, its more of like a clever bit of shot making to give the impression his still well and alive, performing at the bar.

Kind of suprised Fight Club, Good Fellas, Full Metal Jacket and Platoon weren't on your list, anyway +1 to all the Guy Richie's flims you mentioned! I like him :)

+1 to The Usual Suspects, 12 Monkeys and American History X being your list, great flims! Should look at Shawshank Redemption and Raging Bull too. Anyway if you like the dystopian genre, you should try Mad Max and 28 Days Later (not the sequel though and i don't know if it fufills the genre but the scenes of a deserted London was quite good imo) too.

And you should watch I Love You Philip Morris too, pretty funny seeing Ewan Mcgregor acting sissy lol!

Another great carrey biopic is I Love You Phillip Morris.

I'm unsure about the popularity and therefore didn't add it in. It's a nice film.

Traffic (2000)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181865/

A conservative judge is appointed by the President to spearhead America's escalating war against drugs, only to discover that his teenage daughter is an addict.

It will be underrating "Traffic" if we choose to call it another drug film. Unlike many other drug related films in early 2000s, "Traffic" doesn't focus on the addicts, but on every aspect of the drug trade. And the most refreshing of all, it doesn't preach. Not a single bit.

It wants to portray the trade as realistic as possible, especially so with it's documentary feel camerawork, leaving the audience to absorb the film and think for themselves. There's no good vs evil nor is there the usual good triumphing over evil.

9/10.

I think Departures ba. It's actually the best japanese movie I have ever seen.

The legend of 1900 is really good as well. It was one of those "after exam movies teachers show in class" and everyone in our class liked it.
