Actually, the issue with the scandal is already fixed. Nvidia misrepresented the product and they have owned up. Hardware wise, its permanent unfortunately.

The GTX 970 should run most games at 1440p based on my understanding. The main competitor being the AMD R9 390 8GB, is also a great card to consider.

depends on what games, if u talking about free games/mmo/mobo, 1440p no problem

newer ASC games i believe is the most demanding game....(go for too detail fps drop)

been in love with ASC since brotherhood period, even played the 1st few version...

Next is NFS....not sure if this 2015 really that demanding....required GTX 970 4GB for 1080@60fps...
