Guys.. I just wanna ask on behalf of my friend. He gotten his enlistment letter to Tekong(Enhanced Batch) after he graduated Higher Nitec but he deferred for Polytechnic. The funny thing is he withdrawed from the course about 2 months later. He knows that he will be into PTP Batch for the next enlistment date because his IPPT taken in school expires on this year September and now he's still waiting for his new enlistment letter. So, will he get to SAF or posted to SCDF/SPF? He's curious tho. Appreciate any comments here.

There is a chance that he will get SPF/SCDF, although unlikely. I have had friends who initially were posted to Tekong, but upon deferring for studies, after their graduation they were posted to SPF. While I have friends who deferred 3 times, from ITE, to Higher Nitec, to Poly, and before all three deferments, he got SAF, ultimately after poly, guess what? SAF again.

Any idea if "Osgood-Schlatter disease*" can be declared as a medical condition to down pes? What and how is the process to down pes in SPF?

*Osgood-Schlatter disease is an overuse condition or injury of the knee that causes pain and swelling below the knee area over the shin bone. It is characterized by inflammation of the patellar tendon and surrounding soft tissues
CMPB should be in-charge of assigning PES status based on the medical information you have provided and the general check-up. You should inform them of any injuries you have ahead of time, because once you're enlisted, although it's still possible to down-PES, changing squads because of injuries isn't a very smooth experience, especially if the down-PES gets approved 3-4 weeks into training (getting used to new CM, FI, squadmates etc.)

Good luck!
