Woo.. banshees! What are you going to use that expensive paint for? lol, dunno how it compares to rj gold.

rj london gold = $8.00-$9.00 vol appx 236ml
tamiya metallic gold = $25.80 vol appx 100ml

i hope its even blinger than this

How u hand paint the shades? Btw for the 00 raiser I posted early is mostly done by gf, I just top coat and shading! My 2nd kit in my life

chiu should teach chiur gf sanding

use tamiya weathering kit to paint shades

For a first attempt, its very good wor!
Shading might b a bit strong but i'm sure yr subsequent kit will b better!

for hand paint, I used tamiya weathering master
some parts used airbrush for shading

not bad ar.
as wat mention before, ur shading too strong. esp the feet. look almost like
weathered.
else, everything was quite well done.

u mean the red part? that's done using weathering master so it might not look as natural as the waist part(red)
yea...kinda rojak... some airbrush and some handbrush(with weathering master)

can tell the difference in certain parts, but overall quite satisfied since it's meant to brush up my painting skills

looks so good I feel jelly

hmm...some parts frosted due to spraycan topcoat
some parts the paint got scratched/chipped when assembling
managed to minimize the damage

overall a good experience, hopefully the next kit will be better
intend to test out panel scribing and adding rivets in the future

a gloss black base would be recommended

thinking of testing out yellow candy gloss as a substitute for gold, hopefully can give the bling of hyaku shiki/akatsuki

the previous thread u ask me if im using sango gundam marker, answer is yes...main is the GM04 for gold. i use it to handpaint, not direct apply on parts.
