just register last night..the guy at HAS told me that one customer of them just won the gunpla special color set

oh man, i chose the color set. which means my chances are gone.

hey bros, got a question for those who went taiwan before. i hooted several piece of gunpla isit possible to ask the counter to handle the checkin baggage with care? im afraid the throwing of stuff would damage the kits.

some time back, i went japan and taiwan and hooted several kits. I had the same concern so I used taiwan local mailing service to send the kits back to singapore. just stuff plenty of padding (ie bubble wrap, newspaper) into the sides and it should be ok.

Bought a brand new Barbie luggage for my daughter also for check-in. Reach SG, got the barbie luggage, looks like become second hand worned. Sianz....

Imagine your box and sprue and plastic trees kena toss like nobody business...

wow serious? i think i will have to unpack the box le, the staff help me to pack into the cardboard box but i doubt theres padding. normally you just uses newspaper?

Alternative shld i hand carry them but theres 6kit...how do i hand carry them LOL

dun count on it. they will just help u paste the 'fragile' sticker on ur luggage, but ultimately it is up to the baggage handler to throw and stack ur luggage. if i am not wrong, fragile just means ur luggage will be at the top, but how rough they handle it is another matter

if possible, hand carry. if not, use hard case luggage and cushion the boxes with clothings or bubble wrap

normally i will get bubble wrap cos there is plentiful at my workplace.
if u can't get, i think crushed newspaper stuffed into the sides of the box should help.

6 kits hard to hand carry.

i already hand carry one mg wing zero, to close the cardboard so it wont move around. could probably get some bubble wrap around some starionary shop or theres always newspaper.

say which shop do u guys patronise ? i found the shop beside dong hai is cheaper...but no giv discount.

萬年商業大樓 has cheap kits but figurine price abt the same as sg. I mainly looking for limited edition figurine.

i went wan nian to buy also, their oo raiser 1650 the one between dong hai and cai something de give 1580ntd

usually white primer for lighter color. grey primer will probably give ur pearl white a slightly darker tone.
maybe test out on a plastic spoon first?

Just a question about primer and metallic spray can color.

If we want to give the kit a metallic(bling bling feel)

1) prime it with normal primer , apply gloss back , than the metallic color itself

2) Straight away apply gloss back than metallic color paint

Which is the apppropriate steps? 1 or 2?

1. it is always better to prime first because primer allows the paint to stick better, and also let u spot mistakes such as seamlines and sink holes. this is especially impt for metallic/gloss finishing coz such mistakes are very obvious on gloss or metallic surface

after everything is nice and smooth, it is good to sand down the primer as primer itself is abit rough for gloss/metallic surface

overdoing is underrated

besides wan nian.. going to Taipei Underground Mall.. u can find many treasure there... go to Y exit of Taipei Main Station and walk to Y13... From there.. please control your wallet.....

yup, i went to the underground mall toypark and a few more shops. but price is not anybetter than wan nian from what i see.

Yes!!! The food!! to be honest.. if u r looking for zoids.. I feel underground mall would be cheaper. . Anyway.. both are nearby.. wan nian n underground mall.. so just do a bit of homework haha.. enjoy the culture there too
