Shoot I only just found out about the gundam expo.

If all the good deals are gone, is it still worth the effort of going down to look at the other exhibitions?

Guys, I'm new to Gundam, visited the GunPla expo at Taka last wkend and liking them, bought HG barbatos to try.

Care to share list of shops where I can get modeling tools & paints. Am looking for Tamiya Panel Line Accent color too. Thanks :)

Tools and paints wait for tai seng 25% tamiya discount. Stock up especially on primer and topcoats. Everything else, either carousell and online.

taka prices are not good, not even with 20% off. only the clearance stockpiles items some times have good price. hobby shops prices are better, but still not as good as online.

for hobby shops, u can go Hobby Kulture in Peninsula plaza, Hobby Point in Bras Basah Complex, or M Workshop and Hobby Art Gallery in Sunshine plaza

Even then, take note there are hobby shops that practice pricing the kits 2x of the japan msrp. Its just that they have forever 20%-30% off to make the prices less painful. Take note that in japan is normal to have 10%-30% off the japan msrp.

Carousell is becoming #1 choice for kits when shipping from japan is expensive. These people can do so because no need to open physical shop and often are people who were over-enthusiastic when shopping in japan so are clearing unused kits at retail box price or they have contacts over there to send the kits as gift which they then sell on our side and share the proceeds with the contacts.

You be surprised how popular you become when you say you are staying in korea or japan for a few months/years especially by those who are running blogshops.

Got new knockout offer, but this time they wisen up, only purchase for purchase.
Spend min $50 FIRST then can enjoy the knockout price, each customer can only buy 2 knockout price kit.

*will see lurkers ambushing shoppers asking if can tompang purchase so that can get the special buy. The payment queue should have a security guard at entrance to prevent such disturbances.

My guess why the Destiny and Launcher Strike is that DM versions have affected the sales of those kits so bad they have a lot left in stock.

Anyway, can confirm the sword/launcher strike will sold out by dinner tonight as a lot of people with MG Aile Strike will get to make the Perfect Strike and for others, time to get the remastered MG Aile Strike. Dont really need to think about it at this price.

Some cheap kits at John Little Expo show.

Got one poster on their fb say the knockout deals all gone liao. If this was their weekend promo, LOL. Now organiser have to shoot another promo by tmw morning...
