hi,
Im going to try hand painting soon... Is there anything i should take note of?

I have some unanswered questions...

Q1. Mix ratio: how much water/thinner to mix with paint for tamiya acrylic?

Q2. Thinner: tamiya thinner or rubbing alcohol or industrial thinner?

Q3. Brush: any particular size/type that is suitable for 1/144 kits?

thanks in advance!

p.s. does thinner weakens RG frame?

I only use water for acrylic paints, ratio wise, I only mix a portion of what I pour out with 2 or 3 drops of water at the side, just need to dilute the paint a bit.
Make sure its not too thick will do. Need to paint minimum twice for me

Want to use thinner, than use tamiya acrylic thinner, industrial thinner is use to wash the brush and plates where u mix ur paint.

Hand paint I don't prime, as I don't change the color.

Brush size, up to you, bigger parts bigger size

this question has been asked over and over again on this forum..

you can either google or try the local plastic modelling forums :

plamo.outthere.info/forum

or,

sggunplasociety.com

other wise, u can head down to local hobby stores to ask them for any tips/advices.
