Hi guys... Haven't posted here in a while, happy new year!

Anyway, eh, I got question. Just started on my HGUC Sazabi. I'm noob at sanding (my first time). Picked up a sanding stick at HAG recently with 3 diff types of grit. But even with my finest grit, I still get scratches! I'm not sure if my technique is right - I've tried pressing the sandpaper hard, pressing it lightly, going in circles, going in one direction, etc, but the scratches are still there.

Is it bobian sand will confirm have scratch, even with the finest grit? I read that toothpaste can help polish, is it true? Or is Tamiya polishing compound my only option? Thanks gaiz

guys, can someone tell me if any hobby shop sell all the accessories (like color spray... gundam marker... blah blah) at WEST side? I just moved there and hardly got any chance to go down town

yup polishing compounds, Tamiya extrafine sandpaper(1500-2000) or mws polishing films removes microsratches for opaque surfaces. Tamiya poishing compounds only for clear surfaces.....

Primer does remove microscratches, but sometimes may make some ugly splash marks on the surface....

to solve my sd gundam "housing woes" after 2 yrs of long wait for ikea promotion....

I finally give in to get a new EC!

and credits to one of the bros here providing the seal proofing of the cabinet, I hope spring cleaning once every 2-3yrs!

just get this "Air tight tape" from Daiso, each packet 2m long, need 2 packets just to go round both sides and the top only. Its double sided tape so just peel slightly, aline, stick and go through the lengths of the cabinet that's all.

dude after u stick both the sides and the top, will there be enough left for the bottom of the cabinet? i also feel your idea is good for dust proof.

yes able, 2 packets are enough to go all round the cabinet. BTW, this is NOT my idea, its from another pal here in this forum sometime back which intro us to this, I'm just doing it now.

I saw you have some "Stack" SD Gundum in your 1st picture. Can get a close up on that and tell us whether ikea selling the glass panel or a 3rd party item? Its a good way to put in alot more figures!

top glass panel is smallest, one end using wire to hook up the other end held by black clips as the support. As for middle panel which is slightly bigger, use string instead as the support. Very simple idea, I'm sure some of you will come out with more presentable ideas. As for where to cut the glass panels, I got it custom cut from a glass shop. I will ask my contact for the address and price when available.
