top glass panel is smallest, one end using wire to hook up the other end held by black clips as the support. As for middle panel which is slightly bigger, use string instead as the support. Very simple idea, I'm sure some of you will come out with more presentable ideas. As for where to cut the glass panels, I got it custom cut from a glass shop. I will ask my contact for the address and price when available.

actually i tink some of the gundam bros here heard of this company Chezrich that do custom plastic panel to put in our ikea display cabinet, i'm actually considering to do something lyk a "staircase" feel so that i can maximise the space in each section of the display cabinet, as anyone who knows that 1 display cabinet wouldnt fit all e gundam for a hardcore hobby lover. anyone got e idea of how much would it be? or any bros here custom anyting from this company before?

my main purpose is at least i can see all my gundam, no offence to your idea as i feel all your SD gundam all stand 2 rows but somehow front rows are blocking the back see le also no shiok haha (IMO). thats y i choose the "staircase" concet so can showcase all e gundams. but space wise i have to agree with you actually is also using up e space per section also. i haven fix up my PG if not i tink 1 section will be taken, beside i feel ikea display cab even if i put my PG strike freedom in the wings cant be open also unless rly go for a custom made display cab

Very idea and good DIY! I just scare not so secure. Maybe if acrylic panel will be ok.

In my current cabinet, belongs to my mum, I hijack the top 2 rows and she gave up la.

But 1 incident happened ard late 2011. Its a custom made cabinet from Nova. The dowel (support) for the top glass panel broke and crash down on my 2nd row. there are some casualities. DX SOC Valkyrie VF25 stand broke, couple of SOC broken legs/parts etc. Glass panel still intact surprisingly. Haiz...

Just remember the name of the SOC which was injured - Jeeg and Gaiking

@gentoro : I have had this set up for the last 3 yrs at least I think, no failure yet!

Anywhere I'll be checking on those plastic workshop on how much it will cost to make the acrylic stands I talked about. Shall keep you guys posted.

Can get acrylic sheets from Art Friend. Them cut and glue the sides if u get what I mean.

Glue can be messy and not lasting.

Tuner: Your string setup seem to last well and long. Btw, the acrylic step aint cheap. I gave up the idea after I bought a display box (maybe from cherich) for my guyver trading figure (~$30). The step cost more I think.

The green zealot is hideous! Cant think of any explanation why they come up with this ugly figure.

If its the same "cherich", its is darn difficult to find this god forsaken place, very well hidden!

Manage to PO the leo gundum in morning. After 12noon, all PO OOS liao! Phew I got mine luckily.

I built my own steps out of spare waste acrylics. Personally I don't recommend anything thinner than 5mm as it will sag over time.

I assume that the "glue" you guys are talking about is chlorofoam? Actually it can be pretty clean if you have "experience" using it.

Don't make any display case out of acrylic - the plastic will "scar" over time even if you don't touch it.

got my nu ver ka from hk at about $85 with the light up led kit for the head. got a kotobukiya geno breaker at $120 too!
