its because modelers from Taiwan and Hong Kong dont buy many kits to stick on to a kit or kitbash like Singapore modelers.. Therefore they have to lower their price to attract more ppl to buy their kits whereas Singapore has buyers to buy even dendro to kitbash so the market is there for Singapore..

I did consider the "staircase" concept before but problem is the display space is still the same length just elevated now. Still a lot of "wasted" space. Now you give me an idea. Using the same plastic sheets, bend just both ends like a table top and display. Easy to do and cheaper I think, anyone in Sec Sch doing plastic photo frame now!?!

i actually know how to spray them the problem is i don't want to incur more charges on renting 1 instead of purchasing them. i want to spray all my old kits and new ones that i have now. i have lots of new models just sitting at home collecting dust. around 5 MGs, 3 NGs, 5 HGs and many three kingdom pieces at home that i do not have the time to touch.

Bought mine from airbrush.sg. if you are ever getting a compressor get the one with an air tank, gives you a smooth consistent flow of air and doesnt overheat. If you think youre going to be building n painting in the long term, that kind of compressor is worth the investment.
You probably need to read up more in the web before committing to buy

No time to touch liao, still will have time to spray meh....

Actually I also curious on where to buy compressor. Last week play around and it also sounds like the motor inside is death-rattling already. Any ideas? Budget-wise hopefully less than $500 and minimal maintenance.

I got the ultimate combo from airbrush.sg. IMO, saves me from buying those necessary stuffs separately too.
I agree with getting the air compressor with air tank too..

I was exactly like you. My daughter came in 2006 and so I think I gave up my set (airbursh. compressor etc etc) in early 2006. I think I started out in 2003.

consider a switch from lacquers to acrylics, they are less harmful and the smell is almost non-existant... the flaws is that they are not strong, but is healthier for your family and yourself

hand painted a few...what kinda experience are you looking for?
i used lacquer to handpaint...
initial kits were painted using markers...
then progress to using a mixture of both markers and lacquer
subsequently, fully lacquer painted....
