if got bubbles.. most prob is because u spray too close n too thick.. spray from a slightly further distance and do fast mist coats, that will help to lessen the chances of bubbles.

u should sand smooth, prime then paint. or if u lazy, just skip the priming and go straight to paint

thx for the reply man:)

alright this has finally clear all my doubt , time to work on the kit itself, hehe

noob here..to achieve best effect for a model kit, is airbrush the best choice?
in a limited space (hdb flat), airbrush is not conducive due to the particles right? any place to rent a space to do airbrushing?

i think you can rent a space in HAW, but not sure about airbrush set. Some people use spray can and is able to get good effects, sliver for example. Check SGGS for his works

<---- actual metal plating process

Modellers try recreate the effects of chroming aka electromagnetic plating with effect paints aka chrome paints for chrome plating, gold paints for gold plating etc.

Imho, even handpainting can have gd effect. Be it handpaint, spraycan, airbrush or what have u, good effect can b achieved through practice, getting constructive feedback, then practice, getting constructive feedback, then practice, getting constructive feedback and practice, getting constructive feedback and more practice

My 2 cents.

I hand painted most of my kits with 3rd party decals these days. Sometime a mix of original decal and water slide can look nice. Minimally at least panel line > will look totally nicer even without paint, AB or decal...

normally how long would you leave the parts to dry after primmer is applied? Some said only need 4 hours is needed but other state that it is better to leave for at least 24 hours before applying paint.

Anyone have any recommendations on workshop on how the basic and fundamentals of building a gundam model..? Keen to learn painting, detailing lining from the start as I dont have knowledge at all.. Checked M workshop at sunshine plaza, but it cost a bomb to a student like me in the workshop fee.. Any other recommendations or workshops which I can attend yet cost lesser or more affordable for a student..? Thanks and cheers
