Hi,

Anyone knows whats the differents between RG Char's Zaku II Ver. GFT and RG MS-06S Zaku II?

difference seems to be limited to the stickers.
for e.g. gft replaced the white strips with red.

personally I think the non-gft one looks better.

Does anyone know where to find cheap sandpaper? I just decided to start move on from just cut, knife, snap fit and just panel line with marker to sanding/priming/air-brushing but i have no clue where to get sandpaper. The tamiya one is branded right?
Which kind of sand paper recommended to get? wet/dry? i read of them before but dunno the difference.

Thanks. I tried my surrounding shops but sadly they all don't carry any sandpaper which is why i resorted to asking on this forum

any cutter from HAW/HAG, MWS or hobby point will do, i am using the hobbymate cutter i bought from MWS. Buy a tube of zinger oil to maintain it and it will last longer. you can try GOD-HAND if you have too much money....

I would prefer you buy a good tools, though slightly expensive, but will give you a better result and last longer.

Buy either Tamiya or U-star cutter

Knife, cutter and sandpaper all I bought from Sunshine place Artfriend. So far, only need to replenish sandpaper via HAG or AF. Cutter and knife lasted me for years till I forgot how long already.

tamiya $40 sia. i see a pair of cutter $14.90 at hobbypoint tiong bahru. dont know good or not leh. Got sharp edges and flat at the side also.

tamiya have 2 types.. cheap one and exp one.
the exp one has a smaller, flatter head and is sharper.

i'm currently using the cheaper tamiya cutter but switching to a mineshima one from m workshop.

do also note that the cutters rust quite quickly.

need to maintain cheaper cutters, else the body will rust quite quickly. I use zinger oil to maintain my cutter, hobby saws and airbrush internals. I only need to change when my cutter when the blades become blunt. The problem is that if you forget to wipe off the oil, you will get oil on your parts which will show up when you prime.

Didn't rust after about 2 years

same... mine is about 6months old only though. lol

Wah gg la. I use mcspicy oil, my cutter rust immediately. And i always thought mcdonalds more healthy than kfc.

Apart from this bull****, i usually use a exacto knife to remove the nubs and sometimes i cut really badly. Apart from sanding, is it possible to just cut and trim nicely most of the time using just a cutter?

i dont use xacto knife to shave off the nubs, i just trim it down using the cutter as much as possible then sand off the remaining
