Hi guys, I have a question about spray booth.

I have been using cardboard box + 3M respirator while airbrushing. My family is complaining of the smell in the house though. I don't mind spending money on the spray booth, but I'm afraid neighbours would complain of the smell.

If we put the exhaust hose out the window, will there be a lot of smell coming out from the hose? I see the description of the spray booths on sale and they seem to have built in filters. Would the filters absorb the smell already?

Anyone has experience putting out the exhaust hose in HDB flat window?

no, the smell are the smell of thinners. The filters are there to filter the paint particles so that it does not enter the internals of the spray booth and clog it up. If you have the spray booth, the smell will be reduced but there will still be the smell there.

alot of kits there

but the prices at gundam expo is actually exp compared to places like hag; if you look at the price tag, it'll likely be metro, which sells at srrp or something like that.

imho, I'll buy from expo only if it's an expo exclusive kit that I want. Otherwise just buy a couple of kits first to get the hang of it, then wait for sales.

Any taobao seller to recommend for water decals?

Can use their search engine to search for '水贴'
Some prefer samuel decals, one thing to take note, samuel decal's decals is not precut decals, you will have to do the cutting yourself.

In taobao, you will be to find many different decals selection and many of them are precut. The few rgs that i have done are using decals fr taobao.

End of the day, its up to individual preference on who to purchase the decals from and i can only share w u what i know so far (based on my limited knowledge).

Depends on individual, peeka.sg is one of them. Do read up on the terms snd conditions of those forwarders before using them to avoid any misunderstanding.

Tat being said, whether taobao or samuel decals, each has their pros and cons, Mayb just to mention a point, samuel decal pricing is in usd iirc (pros correct me if i am wrong) while taobao is rmb.

End of the day, wats matter most is that u r comfortable with the vendor that u r adopting.
