I think there is a 1/35 rx-78 by g-system . But seriously g system kits are quite advance so I think stick to something more simpler then move on from there. But this is my noob points of view hope the pro here can add some more input

wow looks nice, ya I also feel G-system or resin kit too advance for me. prolly already used to kits made from Bandai. I also noob la, everyone also started out as a noob but one day will also become pro like all the old birds here.

Most of the time, yes it is cheaper, especially if you purchase multiple kits in combined shipping. The reason is because of the retail Yen, decent conversion and the constant price discount by HLJ.

However, the are occasions where it's cheaper/comparable to buy it in local shops. These occasions are mostly clearance sales or heavily discounted sales. For example, if a normal retail store in Singapore like Metro sells a Real Grade Zeta for SGD$52.00, after a 40% discount sale like Hobby Art recently, it becomes SGD$31.20. HLJ sells a RG Zeta for 2400 Yen (SG$30.30 before shipping). If buying locally, buying from local hobby stores is usually better than retail outlets (Sometimes BHG gives great discounts too!).

Then there's those personal sellers who gives massive discounts and those warehouse sales.

But of course, these events are very unreliable in terms of finding the kits you want and when you want it.

So, I'd say buying online is not a bad option since it can help you save and stores like HLJ and Hobby Search are reliable but there's factors like delivery time and the aforementioned shipping to consider too.

I used to prefer buying at Hobby Search since there's a points system which can further help cut purchase cost but now, due to reduced orders, both HLJ and 1999 almost the same.

Bro dun forget when u go to the shops u still hv yr own transport fees even if u drive. Then most likely u will eat out too.

HLJ wise is best to send to a place where there's someone to receive if not still hv to go post office or u can resend 1 more time, so yeah most of the time I opt for HLJ.

It's all weight dependant, sometimes a bit more due to the packaging material like foam and the box. 1 HGUC Dendrobium is more expensive to ship over than 1 HGUC Ball, so there's no fixed base cost.

Please note that EMS is faster than SAL Small Package and also includes a tracking number.

Also, if you want Express, please be prepared to pay more for faster delivery =D

Me amiami bought at 1800yen only. Ordered Zeta, GP01, GP01FB, Destiny all at 1800yen each. Of cos the shipping is slightly exp than others.
