Hmmm.. i'm looking for those really thin markers. As for cutters do you have any recommendations? I dont think the current i have is smooth enough to make a clean plastic cut.

This's my current one. Don't think it's good enough right?

for markers, u can get any permanent markers from stationary shops. they have very thin ones up to 0.1 and 0.05. u can try Zig or Sakura, if these brands are still around. it has been years since i used markers.

for cutters, unfortunately there arent any cheap alternatives. the more expensive ones are often better. if u are going to be in this hobby long-term, get the most expensive cutter u are comfortable in paying

You can try recommended ones by evilerniex, I found some markers by Sakura at 0.1 thickness to be suitable for Gunpla panel line. Art Friend, like the one at Taka have them in stock. Copic brand is great too. Hell, just bring your Gunpla there and panel for free

Got official Gundam panel markers too as discussed, should be available at HAG/Orbe/M Workshop/Other Gundam-related hobby store.

Cutter wise, yours looks okay though cutting plastic sheet is different than cutting parts from sprues.

There's cheap ones at SGD 8 which works okay and then there's those by Tamiya which may cost SGD 40+. I myself, just pre-ordered the so-called God Hand cutters, which I wonder if it will really leave the cleanest mark. My Tamiya one is starting to feel dull somehow, which I think is because I cut those thicker sprue trees.

oh okay, I though it would cost around 80plus. but any review for the cutter? me currently using 3 kingdoms bb gundam cutter and OEM plato cutter. to me like so so only

I went art friend and got those sakura markers as you recommended. It's great thanks! As for the cutter i think i'll just use mine for now.

Btw where can i get the green led for the gp base? I heard its sold in a set of 8 right

hello all the peeps here!

it's been a very long while since i last touch gunpla and i have decided to do this hobby with MG Sazabi ver ka. being release recently. Too much poison for me.

However, when i pick up my tools, many had been rusted and dusty

after which i decided to clean it up.

although cannot get back to it's original prime, but at least the rust is gone and it's safe too work.

Guys, which kit should i start on?

what colour for panel line looks good on gloss blue? currently I tried white and it is very subtle....

Also, does any1 have a scriber or buffer to recommend? I flooded some detail...

yo bro just to share with you, for those gold parts, can use toothpick to paint,u can either not thin the paint or just thin it a tiny bit.


btw..anyone bought metal build Destiny? how much??

Hi, has been a while since I assembled a model kit.

Finally finished a model kit (non gunpla though, a Revell Ferrari 308 GTB) after 3 weeks of sanding, spraying, painting, gluing, decaling, topcoating etc.

Not perfect but I am happy. Learnt a lot of lessons that can be applied to Gunpla modelling, such as decalling and experimentation on which type of paints I like (found it to be lacquer, the finish is much better than acrylic)

And now... time to clear the backlog of kits from AFA 2013 (Justice is mostly done already)
