Sharing my humble new experience on panel lining.first time building gundam n posting picture link.Do let me know if there's anything not right.

Used pencil to lightly line the panel n all the bends.for me,I prefer this approach as the line is not too defined

what u are attempting is called shading, not panel lining.

Quick question, are taobao good generally ok? I have a friend who wants to buy and ask me if I wanna tongpang.

Have a few exclusive kits I'm looking to get that's a little hard to get liao... So yeah. Is it okay if I order from there? Or quite high piracy rate?

I'm looking to get the trans-am series. Specifically Trans-Am Reborns and Trans-Am Susanowo. Maybe a star winning as I saw it going for rather cheap as well. Maybe a few ordinary MG kits.

Perhaps you can advice on who to buy from?

Hi would like to ask for those folks out there who used Mark Softer before, how long do you wait before wiping off the excess Softer after application? Or do you just apply and leave it there to dry? I googled and youtubed and some people wipe off the excess and some just let the excess there to dry.

I googled and youtubed and some people wipe off the excess and some just let the excess there to dry.

The reason why you would want to wipe most of the excess because when dried, it may leave a dried spot that may be noticeable.

Ideally, you wanna soak most of the excess immediatey or around 1-2 mins of applying, leaving a thin layer of liquid over the decal. If you feel that it is insufficient, you can apply another layer later because the decal may shrink/shrivel while it is still wet.

If you don't wipe off the excess, there will not be any damage to the decal as long as you let it dry fully, and then topcoat to seal it.
