Hey guys, this is probably the dumbest gunpla related question ever asked here.

What is the cheapest way to ship a few boxes of gunpla BACK to Japan?

yes, i understand u want to ship from sg to jap.
but it may not be worth it to ship the kits back to jap. if the price of the kit is not significantly greater than the shipping fee, might as well just keep the kits or sell them off in sg

I may need to return the kits cause the seller in Japan is being #$%*&@ and I might want to ask for a refund. Not sure who would want to buy a HGBF for 30sgd.

icic... just make sure the cost of shipping is less than the loss u make if u sell the kit. else really not worth the hassle. :(

need some suggestions for what gunpla tools to get from my trip to japan.

1) panel lining items, any recommendations? have not diy panel line before so some suggestions on the basic tools needed. tamiya scriber? hasegawa panel line mould? +++?

2) might get a few sanding sticks. easy to use :s13:

3) any comments on cutter? god-hand, tamiya cutter. does it really cut well? cant tell the difference. can buy one to try.

4) airbrush, can try to get one. any model to recommend? and what's the difference between a non-branded and a branded airbrush. is the result obvious?

5) other basic tools i might miss out/ tools that is helpful for gunpla :o

The sharp Tamiya nipper will do, its is more versatile than the god hand nipper. The god hand does gives a good cut for Gunpla, and pretty much that's it. If you want to cut off extra bits, the god hand will probably be gone hand by the time you are done with the kit.

1) just get a tamiya scriber and try first ba.

3) branded cutters does help but personally i dun think theres a need to get such expensive tools, use long already all will be blunt in the end. i just use a normal flush cutter.

4) for good price to performance ratio, just invest on a cheap ah tiong brand compressor.

5) the list never ends seriously, just start out with the basic tools like nipper and sanding sticks and slowly work your way.

The Tamiya sharp nipper is very durable, my first pair which was bought in 2007 and since then it has been my to go cutter till I passed it on to my friend earlier this year. Last check, the nipper still works well.

Those are the usual tools I use during the assembly. Tamiya sharp nipper, p1000 and p2000 sandpaper.

For panel lining, I uses these Rotring mechanical pens to apply the lines cause I find the ready mix from Tamiya too messy for my usage.

Other tools I am using during assembly includes the needle files and McD's plastic knife.

The knife is useful as a part separator if you had missed out on inserting a polycap before fitting 2 parts together.
