Mix both thinners? Why not, as explain earlier.

Here is a breakdown of what I do to the paint during the painting.

Pour paint into the cup, then followed by Gaia colour thinner. Next, I will add a few drops of the Mr Color leveling thinner before mixing and finally spray onto the parts.

The leveling thinner is your retarder, so you do not have to use a lot of it.

Just apply a few drops is sufficient to prevent the paint from drying too fast.

A 400ml bottle will last you for a long while.

Oh my.. I've always thin my clear paints with only levelling thinner. Didn't know that.. Thanks for the info!

You will still need to use the general color thinner like this or this before applying the retarder.

Leveling thinner is retarder with thinner. It is premix already. Unless u buy the retarder on its own then u add a few drops to the paint with ur thinner

Not sold separately as it comes bundled with HGUC 1/144 Unicorn Gundam, either the Destroy or Unicorn mode versions.

My best advise is to buy the destroy mode kit, take the sprues for the Full Armour weapons and equipment. Then sell the destroy model kit separately to recoup cost.

Or better still, mod the SD kit to incorporate some HGUC features, like the legs and arms.
