Guy dress code for ROM

would like to know is it ok to wear short sleeve shirt? Or must be long sleeve with tie?

Mourning attire like what you would wear for a funeral, because ROM = end of your life. Black and white recommended, and don't forget to attach a 1 sq inch gunnysack to your sleeve.

Where is the venue?

Best to discuss with the other guys whom are going.

If u wanna look good, u can wear long sleeve but roll/fold it up above ur elbow.

Or u can wear a blazer with shirt inside, or plain white tee if u can pull off the look.

Short sleeve shirt is just the bare minimal if u intend to be lazy.

Sure got girls there, so take effort to dress up a bit. Maybe u can chat them up. But if you know that u're a forever alone buibui EDMWer with zero social life, u're right to go with just a short sleeve shirt.

Is there any dress code for the marriage solemnization?
Please note that you have to be properly dressed in attire befitting the solemnity of marriage, which is the union between one man and one woman. Proper attire includes shirt and pants or other formal male attire for the bridegroom, and a dress or other formal female attire for the bride. You should also not be dressed in an indecent or unsuitable manner.

This is an important occasion and we expect the parties involved to respect the institute of marriage, the dress code at ROM, and the solemnizer, which would include the attire that the parties choose to wear.

Please note that the Registrar and/or the licensed solemnizer can decline to solemnize a marriage if he or she is of the view that the attire chosen by the parties is not in accordance with the solemnity of the occasion, and the spirit of the marriage as the union between one man and one woman.

Well she the one who say she is ok with a short sleeve shirt, but am wondering will it be 'under dress' for the occasion.

Cos after the ROM, will go eating with a few family members, I also don't want to over dress unnecessary.

First off, congrats!

Secondly, pls put some effort to dress up. Cos ur bride certainly did. Wearing short sleeve white shirt with black pants is even lazier than office wear. And u'll look like a waiter.

And people will be taking photos. U dont wanna look back 10/20/30 yrs later and tell urself that u'd wish u had put more effort in ur appearance.

How hard is it to go out to find a nice attire for ur special day?

Or is this an unwilling wedding cos its a shotgun?

Short sleeves is not acceptable.
Must wear long sleeves shirt with collar, long pants not jeans, and covered shoes.
No bluff u. Your ROM appointment slip should have say mah.
Any tie is totally optional.
