No matter what happens to your aircon not cold, leaking water, compressor issue, noisy. Must really do your homework to engage directly from those servicing aircon companies and price compare. Don't Google search, many advertise are just center man earn $50 to $100 commission and they help you to engage one and says is his company.

Thanks any idea where to get the rubber mount?
Try see any missing or damage blower's blade/fin. Unbalanced blower will vibrate too. Or try swap blower n mounting w next room's ac blower if it's same model.

Won't choke if you do servicing regularly......esp with the surfactants. Nothing to choke on, it's regularly cleared, hence won't have instances of clumps of dirty dropping off.

Will have algae or bacteria growing on the insides of the pipe, that's about it. No chokes.

Is it true that wash blow regularly would cause aircon to leak ?

Have to go back to local distributor with your fan coil model to check for parts availability. Try dismount your blower and fully clean it first and mount back and test run if there’s no stock for rubber mount.
Should have 3rd party one right. Yea will try to take out and clean and see how first

yar, best advise, might not necessarily be motor, could be rubber seating issue or you push the blow fan rod too far in after tightening. Earlier i took it out for general cleaning then reinstalled then noise appear after reinstalling again the sound went away.

Found out that my air con cover 1st 2 screws are of different length. Could it be the cause for the noise?

Aircon unit becomes to wet after "cleaning" ....anyone turn on dry mode to keep internal parts dry?
the purpose of dry mode is the lower the humudity of the air, in the process, it make the aircon wetter.

if you are using chemical to clean aircon shown in the video, it is better to run the aircon in normal mode with the room door opened, let the condensed water to flush out the remaining chemical and smell.

I bought some brushes to clean the dirt from the aircon drum (without applying any cleaning agent) but found it quite tedious and not very effective.

Is there a more effective way to do this? I remember someone mentioned using a steam cleaner but not sure which components should a steam cleaner be used on.

Using condensate tablet to test out on my AC. i tested it for 4 cycle aka 4 month.

in short the tablet if you partly remove drain pan to put the whole tablet in or if you dont want remove drain pan, it will work also but you need to chop into 8pcs (4 pc or half a tablet i have mix result)

so using this

if you remove drain pan you can put 2 inside here at the very end of the corner

if you cut a tablet, you need to cut into 8small pcs, or 16pc for 2 tablet
EtTcex8.jpeg

it will rest on the side of the drain pan

water will then turn green. but it lasted for 2 to 3 times as in it dissolve fast

not sure if it work or not, this is my drain pan when nv been clean before for over 8 mth. it still wet cause my on my AC for over 15hr and then 45min of fan mode ( it seem 45min of fan mode is not enough, maybe 1.3hr of fan mode)

I have just installed starmex, and found that all the FCUs mounted on the wall is not slanted at all. The FCUs are not angled towards the drainage pipe outlets. I use a level ruler to check. Will there be stagnant water remains in the pans?

If got stagnant water in the pan, then I think I would need to turn on fan mode for several hours to dry the unit every day😔

I think maybe the suggestion for Fan mode to run for less than an hour is to just dry the fins and fan?

Saw some water on the sides of the tray.
Any water found at the bottom of the tray or already drain out?

The starmex manual says when the aircon is not going to be used for a long time, operate by Cool mode with the highest temperature set or Fan mode for 3 to 4 hours 😲

i dont think any aircon unit is installed slanted, there is no need to worry.

fans mode i nor sure, i read from comment here, some on 30min, some 1 to 2hr, my testing was fans mode for 45min after using AC at 25c speed 3 for 15/16hr.

so i guessing i might need at least 1hr or 1.3hr to be drier. since looking at the picture it still wet. so 45min when using for 15hr is not enough

the water is on the left cause drain pipe is on the right (FCU got 2 drain hole, left or right, my guess it normal for water to stuck there(where the drain hole is).

the aircon is not going to be used for a long time,? me when install i make it a point to switch on once every 1/2 week.

Many years back when I was checking out on aircon, I noticed only Toshiba have this auto function which turn on fan mode for 20mins to dry out the inside after use. This is still the same today.

So looking at your findings and checking on the starmex manual, I came to my own conclusion is that fan mode for 30mins/1hr maybe is to dry out only the fan and fins, not the tray.

if need to dry the tray, is that completely dry out the whole unit including the water tray, like what the starmex manual says to switch on fan mode for 3-4 hrs.

(I didn’t know there is 2 drain holes in the tray, I thought only 1 which is at the right side where the drain pipe is. If like that, sure got water trapped on left side even if the unit is tilt towards the drain pipe correctly.🤦

I am not sure since I have not DIY cleaning my aircon. Asked the question because I read somewhere that the FCU need to be tilted.

If like that, does it mean the FCU can be perfectly levelled as there is already build-in gradient in the tray?

the auto function no build in also nvm, i can always set fan mode on timer mode before i switch off

the drain hole look like this, this is by design to allow the water to flow to either directional. either end sure got water trap.

my guess is got tilt towards toward one side or not is not important, for me more important is to remember to put the condensation tablet every 3 weeks and DIY wash the aircon

maybe someone here know how to overcome it

for pressure washing, this guy use plastic bag and screw driver to fill in all the gap. i see many video, no one really try to seal up the pcb area like him

8.20sec onwards

after washing he also wipe dry even if using plastic bag

for condenser if you put chemical you need to spray downward and explain why
