Issue is that these large vehicles just cannot see you due to their many blind spots.

Even cars and motorcyclists are not spared, let alone "small target" cyclists.

This effect is exacerbated by turns / corners .

Tuas is a scary place to drive. Those heavy vehicles behave like kings of the road. RIP.
i tried cycling there from Jalan Buroh to Pioneer road to Tuas on a Saturday before.

Crazy traffic. Reckless heavy vehicles.

Should only be done on a late Sunday or Public holiday if really die die want.

Lim Chu Kang another dangerous place, cyclists think that area ulu but actually got industry there, so quite a lot of heavy trucks coupled with narrow roads.
a lot of the heavy vehicles at Tuas, go through Lim Chu Kang.

Lim Chu kang, the narrow part towards Neo Tiew Road, And Neo Tiew Road itself quite dangerous.

If need to cycle, do on a Sunday or Public holiday, And try not to do it at night.

Good that Lim Chu Kang going to have a park connector estimated this year.

I don't understand... Got pavement right? And heavy vehicles got alot of blind spots especially when they are turning.. Driver will be looking out for traffic. They won't notice bicyclist at their blind spots.

yeah. Tuas still have heavy vehicles. but the advantage of sundays and public holidays is that the road is relatively empty. so they usually will not occupy the left lane where most bicycles will be. They will occupy the other empty ones. But on weekdays and saturdays. Woah. The road is so congested, even the left lane has vehicles flying past.

Another place is Marina East Drive, over there got some construction and place where they store huge piles of sand ./ stones etc.

6AM also got activity even on a Saturday. See already better detour to the NEA desalination area PCN before hitting ECP area.

Just not worth the risk.

Those cycling on Buroh, Neo Tiew, west west side area or even TMCR/Seletar (though lower risks comparatively) better take note.

Some cyclists be it recreational roadbikes or mom and pops cyclists cycle as if they are invincible.

Another risk i have noticed is that during this time of the year (But more towards Dec that time) is that 7am after the sun has risen, the sun glare directly right into the eyes is very direct..... this is for West Coast Highway viaduct towards Vivo.

Cyclists are literally invisible esp to those trucks/korries driving faster ie speeding a bit. Most avoid lane 3 LHS but not all.

So, do take note hor, esp if cycling in smaller groups. If group of 10, at least safer. Your small number of taillights are still relatively invisible unless you use some hardcore stuff like Cygolite Hotsot 350 which has a very high lux number (not talking about lumens)

A lot of cyclists do not realise that they are very very small (invisible) targets in the eyes of other motorists.
