Harbin free and easy

Scoot may just bring the service back as December 2026 is still some time away. The HSR from Beijing runs from the south station, which is relatively easy to reach from Daxing Airport. Harbin's stations are within the city proper while its airport is an hour away by car. If this is up to me, I'll have the train one way and a domestic flight for the other direction. A train ride in winter is quite an experience.

Planning trip to Harbin next yr Dec.

Seems scoot has stopped direct flights to Harbin now.

Is it troublesome to Fly to Beijing then take HSR top HArbin as the train station is also not near the airport right ?
or easier to just book connecting domestic flight ?

Just make sure you have plenty of times between. Beijing traffic can be very bad. We spent a few days in Beijing then take overnight train to Harbin.
