this kinda thing is an ego thing not a logic thing so no its neh enough. just like some men got 1 woman not enough need more :(
Materialism may stem from ppl wanting to show to others that they can afford to have/buy this and that but for some ppl, it is just them placing too much importance on money... they can never have enuff of it...

I sincerely wish you luck. πŸ™

I had a close call with Toto years ago myself.

5 out of 6 numbers, with the last one a 21 or 23 when it should be 22. That close.

Ended up with Group 3. About $900.

Well, it's in my life to not ever prosper by gambling. So I'll never allow myself to indulge.

A little $1 Toto doesn't hurt, though, which is what I bet for Thursday. 😁

It was indeed a gain, because I rarely invest in the lottery.

Unlike my late father-in-law, who would spend over a thousand dollars a month buying 4D. He was so happy during the rare times he won something, he would forget his total losses... and buy more.

This is where you are wrong, brother.

With @cosmothecat's capital ($8m?), there's so much fun to be had.

Imagine if one dared to invest all 8m into the current bull market a few years ago, guaranteed centi-millionaire now. πŸ˜†

I still like your enthusiasm, bro. Let's pray that all of us on Earth will live in abundance and never have to worry about food or money again. Let's pray for world peace. πŸ™

I think got such people in SG. Already have many many actually.
Bro, if what you pray for comes true then you won't be rich anymore.

I buy $20 a week (2 draws Tues and Fri) So $80 a month.

I call this my spending to give me hope. $80/month. Ok lah. Something to look forward to. On bad days I can tell myself maybe will strike LOTTO MAX? Makes me feel better.

...but maybe it could be a world where more people get to be happy.

I know there's no perfect utopia, but it would be nice if fewer people had to go hungry or live in constant struggle in this cruel world.

Everyone deserves at least a moment to pause and breathe, to stop and smell the roses.

Indulging a little within your means is perfectly fine, unlike my late FIL, who practically gambled away half his salary every month.

But that's his destined vice, I guess. Luckily, he was never a compulsive gambler with debts. He still has limits.

I know what you mean.
But it cannot work. It will never work.
Because some people are self destructive. Some also thrive on hurting others and themselves. Don't ask why.
These people sometimes also don't want anyone's help and don't want to change. They essentially reject the utopia. They want to see the world burn.

What other people deserve or should have is not for us to say actually. Is up to them to ask for and fight for.

Hence like I said, if you try too hard to give them the world where they get to be happy/happier, fewer hungry or no struggle then you will end up poor.

Look at Europe especially.

You got good heart. Maybe you should try doing some of this charitable work to help the "disadvantaged" (some hate being labeled that).

I reject trying to help people in general. I only help those that want very specific help and are sincere with their requests and efforts to receive help.

Oh no, it's grossly overestimated. πŸ˜…

That's likely Nancy Pelosi's numbers. (I know she sold liao.)
Is somewhere between 20,000 to 23,000. Won't say is overestimated. $300 per share now. $6m portfolio would be 20,000
