Should be thaipusam, mid autumn festival, prophet birthday. Each race got one fair.

For Muslims, there are 2 days of PH for them. The other one is Hari Raya Haji. Only Hindu has one only that’s Deepavali.

For Muslims, Hari Raya Puasa, big occasion should increase to 2 days, Hindu Deepavali should increase to 2 days, Mooncake festival for Chinese should be 1 day holiday.

The gov always tell us to be inclusive of foreigners.. so many foreigners from different countries, so to integrate them better, I proposed add nww holidays to our calendar for the new citizens from Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Japan, Korea in Singapore.. they are a sizeable population, so let's welcome them with their holidays..

Sure! To be honest, Jade Emperor's birthday is celebrated not just by the Taoist. It is celebrated by the Buddhist and Chinese Folk Religion folks too.

However, we need to balance the PHs out proportionally mah by weighing race and religion proportion.

In terms of religion based holidays, christians get 2 days( 18.9% of the population), muslims gets 2 days ( 15.6% of the population), buddhist (31.1% gets 1), hindus (5%) gets one.

However, buddhists in Singapore who are largely made up of Ethnic Chinese gets compensated with 2 days of CNY.

Then the Hindus who are largely ethnic Indians gets only Deepavali?

That's the point I want to make for our hindu brethens.

Going your logic. I can say Christians have 4 since many Christians in Singapore are Chinese.

No need add public holiday... add 1 day personal holiday for all sinkies.. one additional holiday on our birthday would do.

During the usual public holiday I also work from home. No difference to me.
