that is abt it. using onboard sound. it's lenovo desktop which i took from friend to save cost n try to upgrade a little so i can watch movies n some light gamings.

seems like overloaded if i get HD7750, estimated to hit 219W but recommended is 269W

I've heard a number of cases where a hd6670 is able to run on an average-quality 250W psu. Dunno how is the power consumption is on the 7750 compared to the hd 6670 though.

shows a system with a hd 6670 drawing less than 200W. But also depends on the efficiency of your current psu

But if you don't intent to replace your psu, and wanna get a gpu, I'd suggest not overclocking both your cpu and gpu/

Yeah mini itx, the 170x170mm mobo. But to be honest, I really think a hd 6670 would be fine in your system (assuming there is a pci-e slot). I had a Sapphire hd 6670 LP on a generic 500w psu and it works just fine. Those gpu doesn't need a external connector and doesn't require much power. But if anything goes wrong..just take out the gpu lor.

Should be able to run Payday 2 on a reasonable settings on 720p/

But I read that 7750 actually consume less power than GT640, 6670 or 6450. But urs is 500w, mine is 250w

I've only ever ran a dedicated graphic card on a 300W PSU, though I can cautiously say that your PSU might be able to support a HD7750, if it is true power. If the numbers on the PSU is inflated, then surely, it will not even power up the graphic card. I have seen HD7750 without the extra power connector, so it is possible to draw just 75W from the PCI-E slot.

I have a friend running a 7850 factory OC on a generic 500W psu (24A on 12V rail) using the dual-molex to PCIe adapter...so any card not requiring a PCIe power connector would suffice on generic 350-500W power supplies I guess

What do u mean when u mentioned generic? Mine is liteon 250w psu, not too sure if it is true power. Does 7750 LP required extra power? What is power consumption for 7750 LP?

I think 7750 don't require 6 pin power. My bro rig is a HP branded one and running on 300w. Works fine for 7750 from powercolor. Draw power from the p-cie slot

A 7750 consumes about 50watts of power ..... Are you buying new one ???? Why don't use the money to hunt for a used casing, used psu and a used card so that your upgrades will not be restricted by your current psu and LP casing ????

yes, 7750 does not need extra power 6/4pin cables. it runs on the PCI Slot

Used casing can be as low as $5 to $20 for those cheap models ...... some pple even give out free ....

Tradepac even selling generic ATX casing for $20, some branded 400w-500w psu for $40 to $50, so can get similar psu models in garage sales for lower price .....

The rest of the money can be spent on a used card .....

Low profile gaming card in small casing must take note of possible heat problem too if casing not well ventilated ..... Someone bought a 6670 LP card and he thinks it's too hot and sold it away .....

Sapphire LP 7750 about $150, unable to get you a used casing, used psu and used card ??? Maybe $20 for casing, $30 for psu, $100 for card such as a 7770 ???

Start a buy thread and see pple got what to offer you .....

If you're not in a hurry can always camp in the garage/video card section to look for good deals. They don't come often but can save money if you wait for the right deal. Pretty sure i seen someone selling a hd 6670 for $50 like a few weeks back.
