here goes...

TA-Q-BIN Service - YAMATO TRANSPORT (S) PTE. LTD.

Find their service very very reasonable and affordable.

Just need to submit a request (up to 3 days before collection) and they will come on the specific time block you request for them at your doorstep with their Airwaybill which you need to fill up.

Simply hand them the HDD (if you ask for their box is +$1 for a size tt is able to put in the ext/int drives), they will ask when do you want to be delivered. before 12pm collection, they can deliver on the same day.

I requested for 2-5pm slot since WD closes office at 5.30pm iirc, and they delivered it by 3pm on 2 occasions..

For me since i stay rather far away from a post office, a trip to and fro + registered mail to WD (say $1.60 + $2.50 respectively), so spending extra $2 to get it collected from my doorstep is the best!

Wow. Checkout their website. So is it $6 for a 60cm package size to anywhere in Singapore and not only hdd, can use them for anything?

NVM, found their FAQ, very informative. Didn't know such cheap door to door service exist.

ya, i send chocolates to defence related ministries, even meal box before, and books to my friend i use Ta Q Bin. cheap good and steady.. they don't really care the weight of the items, so long not too bulky or dangerous they are ok even if it's like heavy.

but its only twice that i used it for WD, found out their $1 box is like dirt cheap, even cheaper than a bubble wrap envelop :s13:

bro you might be careful they have a list of block out Postal Code

No bubble envelop used, but as follow:
Round 1 RMA: use box provided by Solectron long ago
Round 2 & 3 RMA: re-use box provided by Flextronic.
Mail type: normal mail at $2.55each

Hi, have you been using normal bubble envelop to send drives in via singpost reg mail?

On window explorer, right click on the hard disk and select properties, click on the Tools tab, in Error-checking click Check now, make sure "Automatically fix the file system error" is checked. Restart PC to continue.
