we have more or less the same requirements for a headphone.

Can try Marshall Monitor, it has a warm sound signature and slight dark tone but it has this cool filter feature which you can tune the sound slightly by removing a filter within the earpad.

You can also consider the Audio Technica MSR7 which IMO quite a comfortable on the go headphone which also has a rather balance sound for the price.

Popular choice and very highly reviewed would be the Audio Technica M50, I think its ok overall but thought the bass was slightly loose for my preference.

I'm sure there are more choices, just drop by headphone shops like Stereo and ask the staffs for recommendations.

Heard a pair in Australia once and had good impression of the headphone, however it was a brief audition with my family hanging around so I could be wrong. Got to try it again when I have the chance. The built is great and it does have sleek curves...

Wow, it's hard to find a portable closed headphone with non leather pads.

Tried M50X, thought it's quite ok until the pads get warm..

I believe there are some Sennheiser that are non synthetic leather but not sure those are any cooler. In general all headphones are warm. The reason leather (synthetic or genuine) are widely used is becos they generally last longer than the older generations of foam and pleather. That reduces the need to change pads often.

It highly rated from "one" article I'd read and it's the best seller on Amazon. And the price fits my budget as well, and it's wired, so it won't be too heavy.

Just 1 qns, would my mobo audio jack output be able to realise the full potential of the headphone? or do i need a discrete sound card?

I'm not sure the Sony MDR7506 would be the headphone for you. It's a great monitoring/studio headphone because it has a very flat freq response from 20-20khz but those are hardly your requirements and mind you, the pads are pleather and don't last very long in Singapore weather condition. The Sony aren't difficult to drive so most headphone amps should do the job.

Marshall Mode EQ in my memory sounds close if not better in its bass dept. http://www.stereo.com.sg/marshall-mode-eq.html

I don't listen to tamil songs so I cannot comment much but Adele wise, should be quite ok. The mode eq has pretty smooth vocals and a good kick on the bass. And depending what phone your wife is using, they have iphone and android version for the mic and remote. Mine broke, otherwise its a good to go earphone.

I'm currently using iPhone rig as my DAP and thinking of getting the Earin wireless bluetooth earbuds on days when I don't need to lug my rig out.

My current setup is as follows:

DAP: iPhone 6 Plus.
Amp: RSA Predator.
IC: ALO SXC 18G Hybrid.
IEM: UM Reshelled UE TF10 Pro +1 mid driver customs with Whiplash Audio Hybrid cable.

I know using the wireless bluetooth earbuds will not work with my amp so it's just a simple bluetooth connection. Anyone here has any opinions or recommendations about the Earins?

I've been using IM02 but i forgot about it one day and put it in the washing machine. Now it seems to be crackling whenever I'm playing music with the phone screen off but not when it is on. Weird. Any recommendations?

Earin battery life is a big no no for me becos brand new its less than 3hrs....
