Head/earphones Recommendations Thread

Hey guys, I'm looking for a wireless headset to replace my ATH-M50X + Modmic combo.

Headset has been with me for 7 years already, haven't gotten a proper headset for gaming because I like the sound profile and appreciate the build quality of this headphone.

However recently my modmic is experiencing some issues. I'm looking to get a proper headset now as my friends have been complaining about my modmic's volume and quality.

Looking for a good replacement, one that can easily swap earpads as I believe these wear out the quickest(replaced mine 3 times already). Good sound profile (or at least close to M50X) and wireless because less hassle.

Any budget?

Thanks. Review seems good for the price range but I can't find any info on whether the earpads are replaceable since that most of the time determines the longevity of a headphones(assuming it's built well)

After getting the Roccat Air Wireless, there was an issue with the mic, returned it to amazon and got the Corsair Virtuoso Wireless SE instead.

Looks and feel really good so far, mic quality also much much better

that's some weak sauce output if it can't power those headphones.

maybe try those usb dongle?
apple usb-c dongle should be good enough.

Using PX550II, and wired if connected to phone, bluetooth if watching movies late night ( amp and shield tv abit far from the seats for wired ).

Reading up on portable DACs. Anyone has experience with the Audioquest Dragonfly(s) ? they look portable enough but the rendition is significant/detectable ?

What motherboard you have? Nowadays its actually quite good, especially since your headphone is only 32 ohm. I dunno about branded OEM but for DIY Desktop, you shouldn't be using the motherboard 3.5mm port in the back, that usually aren't amplified as its meant to go to active speaker. You should be using the 3.5mm port from your CPU casing. That connects to the HD audio pins on your motherboard, which has the amplifier, meant for IEM and headphones. Check your motherboard manual, it will show whether it has the HD audio pins
