-using Walkman z (no amp at the moment)
-music ofc? :p
-flac/320 (some 192 - 320)
-rock/metal/punk/jazz/pop/country/classical (basically all-rounder but mostly listen to rock)
-IEM
-budget around 300/400sgd

-my search has lead me to xba30, dba-02mkII, ba200...

-previous iem is ckm500 which is quite an all-rounder.. meets my kind of need of genres. a really good iem too..
-but i want a more wider soundstage, sweet mids/highs and detail too.
-while retaining a tight punchy bass..

thx in advance for those who can help recommend for me.

Hey thanks for the UE4000 recommendation. Read some reviews on it, and apparently the headphones may not work as well for other phones beside iPhone, so do you have other similar recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I think either XBA-30 or BA200 should be fine

DBA-02 MKII a bit too harsh IMO

hello guys, i am very new to earphones/headphones but would like to have some recommendations! I usually use IEM and would like to find out more about headphones!

Music preference: pop, rock

1)Was wondering if there a significant quality/feel between earphones and headphones?

2)Does closed circumaural/supra-aural headphones have good noise isolation(eg in the bus/mrt)

So hoping for a recommendation for either closed circumaural/supra-aural headphones price range around <$250!!

Would love to have deep bass and treble clarity with good noise isolation!! Thank you!!

This is subjective but ba200 cmi for rock as it lacks bass and body. Totally not for such genres imo. Xba30 sounds too artifical and synthesized. Another failure after the xba3.

Nevertheless, sound is subjective so if you are still interested in xba30, i'm selling mine :D

The recent Android models should work for the mic and audio - which phone are you using? =)

Can try out the ATH-Pro 500 MK 2

If you looking for small supraaural ones - isolation usually not as good - can go for the AKG K451

Thanks! Will check out those 2 headphones you recommended!

Btw, would like to have reviews on these 2 headphones that i tried this afternoon.

Boomphones and Image ONE (II) Black Stereo Headphones.

Really like the bass and clarity for the latter one wondering which is more bang the buck!

Thank you!!
