150-200 if you exceed a little for 209 you can look at the JVC FX-T90 =)


How about the UM2? I would recommend the UM3x if you can stretch but do try it out first.


The K141 MK II is semi open so sound might leak out =) You can consider the audio-technica M50 instead for a closed back headphone


Its based on different tuning normally the UM3x is tuned more for monitoring =)

TF10 pro is more recessed in the mids whereas the W3 is more recessed on the highs and have pretty heavy bass. =)

Thanks for the information, how about Shure? Do they have closed back headphones? Sound leakage is something that I would like to eliminate as I'm sharing the room. Just an addon to what I usually listen to,

Female vocals, Pop, rock, metal, a bit of everything actually sans classical.

I've been using the Sony MDR-570LP for almost 2 years now, and it's starting to fail on me. I like the bass on it but I was thinking it needed more clarity and a little more power.

If power's also an issue regarding the quality of audio, I'm also open to looking for a portable amplifier. (I must admit though that I am a complete greenhorn.) Looking for it to be affordable and bang-for-buck.

My best bet is Rock It Sounds R-50!
R-50 uses the knowles twfk dual balanced armature driver like in Vsonic GR01, Brainwavz B2, etc. It delivers the best quality with budget price.

I do both, but i game mostly and i would opt for something more all rounder if possible.

I use Dolby Theater V4 (comes with xonar) to upmix stereo to 5.1 for gaming and ya, i need a mic but as per above, i dont mind getting a cheap separate mic if it works.

I did some homework and alot of people mention that stereo headset is MUCH MUCH better than 5.1/ 7.1 headset that hold mutiple smaller drivers in each cup (which i tested myself in some of the razer's shops) therefore i tend to agree.

Currently, i am using a turtlebeach x11 w/ auzentech forte 7.1 and i find it to be an upgrade to just onboard sound. I can really feel the difference. My forte just died off 1 week ago and i just cant bear to go back on onboard sound even though i have quite a new mobo.

Since then, i have bought the asus pheobus, and i was thinking might as well upgrade my headset as well because i think the headset is now the limiting factor.

i also have a hissing sound with my turtlebeach x11 with my pheobus. i think its because of the inline amp.

I am willing to spent higher around maybe 300-400 as i really spent alot of time in front of my computer.. i was actually looking at the sennheiser PC 360.

Seems like nothing much beats PC360 at that price and category. Any recommendations?

Lastly where can i buy the cheapest PC 360 in SGP if my homework for PC360 is good?

The price i saw is currently 399, which seems to me a marketing price. (SRP) If anything more realistic i would be glad to pay for.

Do know that Turtle beach makes nice gaming headsets but you can consider the Tactic3D Sigma/Alpha as well

Personally I like the Steelseries ones personally using the 7H =)

You can try the audio-technica CK313i =) are you using for iPod or iPhone? Digital volume control only works for them
