First headphones

Your rig : Lumia900 / laptop
What type of usage : music / movies
File format used in your source : currently mp3, may get flac
Genre of music you listen to : classical to pop to rnb (anything)
Headphone / earphone type : headphones (over/on)
Budget $100-300

will not get amp any time soon

Looking at:

FA-003
Ath m50
Dtx501p

Since geting first headphones, considering getting dtx for price since i might nit appreciate faa-003 or m50.

Comments very welcome :)

Oops I think I say wrongly, I meant 'open' earphones (are there such things?), like non in-ear kind.. Or are in-ears better?
We do have regular earbuds =) in-ear usually better isolation and fit =)

Some models are meant to be open for in-ears model generally used to give a wider soundstage

Headphone / earphone type : Best to be in-ear, or very light weight headphones.
Other requirements : NIL
Previous earphones : TF10, SM3v2, W3, SE535 bronze, W4R, ASG V1.2, IE8, IE80, TF10x4, Sennheiser IE800

Hoping I can get some feedback as to what I should upgrade to next.. thanks!

That's a lot of earphones that you have already. :s12: How about trying the UM customs tomorrow in our store? There's the PP6 to try out.

- Other requirements: Durable wires especially at the stress points where IEM cable splits inot 2 for individual sides, durable headphone jack where internal wirings will not come loose causing sound to go only one side
- Budget: about $200
- Previous earphones: UE Super-fi 4, UE Super-fi 3

too bad the UE700 is EOL already, if not i would not have a headache thinking of what to choose now haha.

Can try Westone 1 =) should suit most of your genre fine

i have actually tried the Westone 1 before, didnt like the sound from it thats why i went for UE..
I see... UE not much choices for their lower end stuff now. Maybe will release new models? =)

The super.fi 5 pro was a good model that they had. =(

You can try the audio-technica CKS77 =)

Another model that suits pop and alternative you can try out the SOL REPUBLIC Amps comes with flat cable and mic =)

We do have the Turtle Beach M5

They have an adapter for converting to a separate audio and mic cable for PC use =)
