Cus saw the $300 voucher to use for electrical appliances specify for heat pump water heaters but can't seem to find much info on it

that article was from yr 2016... until now still not popular... there must be a reason. can be due to cost or easily spoil or takes a long time to make the water hot, or some other reasons... have to search deeper maybe can find the reason...

but heat pump isn't it supposed to save energy by using heat from other existing heat source to help heat up the water? so my question above is how does it work exactly? it's like last time Stephen Chow's movie 007, they have the solar powered torch light, the torch only works when there's sunlight...

damn ex sia.... not sure if the electricity bills saved can cover the cost of the heater...
Can calculate the electricity usage of normal heater vs this. I have a feeling need at least 4-5 years to cover the costs.

Normally my side is on for a total of 1hr daily. Estimated $360 a year. 3.3kwh x 30cents pwh. Need 8 yrs to cover the cost of heat pump heater :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

heat pump dryer with accurate humidity gauge is good, perfect dry without wrinkles..
it takes longer time to dry but won't damage your clothes with over heating.

Cost is an issue. As much power as it saves they have a big upfront cost.

That said, for sheer performance you won't find better. I have a light commercial unit installed and I'd never go back to regular instant or tank heaters.

They can be augmented to receive solar heated water or water heated by an air conditioner heat exchanger, thus reducing power bills even further.

Quick comparison.

Instant heater
- cheap
- saves power (varies with usage)
- low flow rate
- hot water on demand

Tank heater
- cheap
- eats power (varies with tank size/design)
- excellent flow rate
- preheat required if in power save

Heat pump tank heater with booster
- expensive
- saves power when operated within design limits
- eats power if undersized
- excellent flow rate
- cools the room the tank is installed in

The daikin heat exchanger is meant to supply another suppliers tank heater with preheated water. It is meant for use with VRV installations. I explored installing one, but my ME space was too limited.
